PHILADELPHIA- Velocity Pro Wrestling makes its triumphant return to
the New Alhambra arena (formally the fabled ECW Arena) on Saturday
December 20, 2008 with an 7:30pm bell time on 7 W. Ritner Street,
South Philadelphia, PA 19148. Velocity Pro Wrestling has been
completely revamped, retooled, and reloaded and will be bringing fans
the absolute best wrestling product that Philadelphia has to offer.
The new VPW is going to have lots of surprises for its re-debut that
will put plenty of cheer in every fan’s holiday season. Tickets, for
what should be an incredible night of top notch wrestling action, are

VPW is excited to announce that the main event for our electric
premier show on December 20th will be a FIRST TIME EVER MATCH between
the ring veteran JERRY LYNN and a star making a quick rise to the top
of the international wrestling scene today in KENNY OMEGA. Omega has
been given this incredible opportunity by VPW officials to show the
world just what kind of competitor he is in the ring. Omega will no
doubt have his work cut out for him on December 20th, and just what
will the young superstar have to do to score a victory over the former
ECW World Champion? Omega comes into the match with much hype and a
blue chip pedigree, but can a true ring legend like Lynn still teach
the new kid some new tricks? This match has Must See written all over
it.
Straight from the sidelines after a recent knee injury, THE AMAZING
RED will be returning to action in order to face “The All Around Best”
XAVIER. Anyone who has seen Red knows the man needs no hype, and the
comeback story of 2009 will begin in VPW! Xavier has told VPW that he
doesn’t care whether Amazing Red’s knee is completely healed or not,
he is going to do whatever it takes to score a duke over the returning
young high flyer. When Velocity officials asked Red if he was going to
be 100% for December 20th, the only three words he had for us were
“Expect the Unexpected”.
Also signed, in a special Brothers vs. Brothers tag team attraction,
are the duo of TEAM MACKTION – TJ and Kirby Mack ââ,¬â<80><9c> will square off
against another blood related tandem in THE LOGAN BROTHERS, Bryan &
Matt Logan. This will be a veritable North vs. South civil war for
both teams who are looking to prove that they have the brotherly
chemistry and teamwork to defeat any tag team in Velocity Pro
Wrestling. Can Team Macktion work together to get the win over the
Logan Brothers, or will Bryan & Matt dominate their opponents and
start out their VPW careers with their first victory? Only time will
tell come December 20th at the New Alhambra arena, but the early word
is that the Hatfields and the McCoys have nothing on these guys when
it comes to settling a “family feud.”
VPW encourages all fans to get their tickets immediately because this
is one event you don’t want to miss to send 2008 out with a bang and
begin a great year for 2009. All the talent scheduled from around the
United States plan to come in and make their name in front of the
demanding fans of Philadelphia. It will be interesting to see how
