Feature: Steve Anderson Rambles About Unfunny Clowns

Random thoughts from my scattered brainâ<80>¦

TNA is inviting Sarah Palin to appear on their show to present a $50,000 donation to her favorite charity or the Alaskan Youth Hockey League. While I admire TNA’s grab at mainstream publicity and willingness to donate a few bucks, I don’t see it happening. Palin has enough image problems right now and needs to lay low. I think an appearance on a wrestling show would put the mainstream media into a frenzy. If this does happen, I do hope that they don’t report that Palin is appearing in WWE.

So, Kevin Nash is furious at Scott Hall for appearing in a ringside seat with Insane (yawn) Clown (yawn) Posse. Apparently, his buddy had the “Bad/Drunk Guy” escorted out of the building. Whatever. Nash and other Hall cronies helped create this monster. For years, Hall stumbled and bumbled his way through promos and matches. He sucked down gallons of liquor while Nash and his crew looked away or laughed along. The “Big Sexy” Enabler only decides to take this extreme action when Hall’s antics affect his match. Hopefully, Scott won’t crash one of those fun-filled Kevin Nash eBay dinners I’ve heard so much about. There simply won’t be enough cigars!

While I’m on the subject, why does anyone still care about Insane Clown Posse? They had half a cup of coffee in WWE, a three-quarters cup in WCW, and a few drops in ECW and TNA. Yeah, they promote their Juggalo Championsh*t Wrestling (Ha, haâ<80>¦I get itâ<80>¦replaced the “P” with a “T”â<80>¦whewâ<80>¦that’s funny). Their fifteen minutes of mediocrity-driven wrestling fame ended hours ago.

The line of the week goes to Bryan Alvarez at the Figure Four Weekly/Wrestling Observer website. In reporting that the latest edition of Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship only drew a 0.2, Alvarez asked, “Can I officially say this sucks now without Bischoff getting mad?” He’s not kidding. In my estimation, Eric Bischoff is the most thin-skinned, defensive individual who achieved so much legitimate success. Yet, he seems to be obsessed with what people think of him.

Finally, I lament the death of the “Honk-A-Meter.” Santino Marella is now a former IC champ. Even if he wins the belt again, he must reset it to week one. Oh well. Hopefully, creative can come up with something new for him. Hehâ<80>¦hehâ<80>¦HAâ<80>¦HAâ<80>¦

No, I’m not laughing at WWE creative. I was thinking about that Juggalo Championship thing again.
