Former TNA star Johnny Devine wrote me about “news” that has recently been reported on the internet about him being booked for a WWE try-out on December 22 and talking to John Lauranaitis, which are not true.
Dvine noted that the night he suppposedly announced this at a show in Canada he was actually working at Scott D’Amore’s bar.
Interestingly two names that surfaced a while back as being involved in the story/rumor involving Andrew Shallcross, PCW, Virgil as TNA Champion, rib on me was making the rounds, may be involved here too, Danny Duggan & Mike Davidson says Devine.
I’ve heard by e-mail from Danny Duggan who wrote “I had NO involvement, Bill”. Danny continued noting that he “posted a blog a few days ago with my thoughts on Johnny Devine and the heat we have. I can see how someone could easily capitilze on that and have the heat passed off on myself. I have no problem speaking about my dis-like about him under my own name”.
A fake e-mail address for Devine is being used to spread these rumors which also includes e-mails to promoters trying to get Devine booked for $100, bookings he would not be aware if confirmed. The fake e-mail address is hotshot_johnnydevine@live.com, but expect that to change.
When the Shallcross/Virgil story was circulating lots of fake e-mails pretending to be other people were sent then too.
Hopefully this childish behavior will stop, who ever is the source, as it is simply wrong to screw with someone’s reputation and liveliood in this fashion
