World Heavyweight Title Match Stipulations Voided by Heartbreak Enterprises
It was reported in the last FIP Headlines that Tyler Black, the #1 contender to the FIP World Heavyweight Championship, would be receiving his title shot in Melbourne, FL on 12.19.08. It was also reported that Sean Davis of Heartbreak Enterprises, the manager of FIP World Heavyweight Champion Go Shiozaki, said â<80><9c>My Pearl of the Orient is going to keep the FIP title for as long as he wants, and there isnâ<80><99>t anything Tyler Black can do about itâ<80>¦ Iâ<80><99>m going to make sure of it.â<80> When asked to explain his last remark Davis replied,â<80>Donâ<80><99>t worry about what that means. When I want you to knowâ<80>¦youâ<80><99>ll know.â<80> It seems that we now know what Davis was referring to. FIP officials have received a certified letter from the legal counsel of Heartbreak Enterprises, Jody Peterman, informing the FIP championship committee that the FIP World Heavyweight Championship will no longer be defended under the stipulations that it can be won by disqualification or count out on the floor. Mr. Peterman pointed out that this rule was instituted by former champion Roderick Strong and was adhered to by former champion Erick Stevens, but was never formerly instituted in the FIP bylaws by the championship committee, therefore Heartbreak Enterprises, as the legal representative of current champion Go Shiozaki, have made that stipulation null and void.
When informed of this announcement Tyler Black stated â<80><9c>Sean Davis can try and protect Shiozaki anyway he can between trips to the buffet line. This means absolutely nothing to me. Iâ<80><99>m not training to win by DQ or count out. Iâ<80><99>ve earned this title shot and I will by beating Shiozaki in the middle of my ring!â<80>
All Three FIP Championships on the line in Crystal River
The FIP championship committee has announced that all three FIP championships will be defended in Crystal River, FL on Saturday, December 20th.
In the event that Tyler Black was to win the FIP World Heavyweight Championship in Melbourne, FL on Friday, December 19th, Go Shiozaki will automatically be awarded the rematch on Saturday, December 20th in Crystal River. However, if Shiozaki retains in Melbourne, then there will be a triple threat #1 contenderâ<80><99>s match in Crystal River pitting Tyler Black vs. Erick Stevens vs. Roderick Strong, with the winner receiving a main event title shot.
It has already been announced that Chris Jones is scheduled to defend the FIP Florida Heritage Championship against Chasyn Rance of the YRR. However, if Kenny King was to win the Florida Heritage Championship in Melbourne on Friday, December 19th, King would not be defending against Rance; instead the Florida Heritage Championship would also be on the line during the FIP Tag Team Championship match. The stipulation will be if King is pinned he and Jason Blade will not only lose the FIP Tag Team Championship, but he will lose the Florida Heritage title to whoever pins him as well. However, if Blade is pinned, then King will retain the Florida Heritage Championship. The challengers for the FIP Tag Team Championship will be determined the night before in Melbourne.
