HBO Airing “Ready to Rumble,” WWE Lands TV Deal in Turkey

In case you missed the WCW produced film Ready to Rumble, starring David Arquette which was released back in 2000, HBO is promoting the following showings of the film on a few different channels:

HBO Comedy (east/west) – 3/1/09 – 1:30am

HBO Family (east/west) – 3/4/09 – 10:15pm

HBO Comedy (east/west) – 3/7/09 – 1:45am

HBO 2 (east/west) – 3/11/09 – 6:00am HB0 2 (east/west) 3/14/09 – 6:00am

WWE® DEBUTS ON FOX TURKEY

Istanbul, March 2, 2009 – World Wrestling Entertainment® (WWE) and Fox Turkey have announced a new agreement to launch SmackDown® across the country on March 2.

SmackDown’s biggest WWE Superstars, including Undertaker™, Edge™, Triple H™ and Vladimir Koslov™, are poised to captivate viewers across Turkey every Monday at 11pm with their unique brand of action entertainment.

Andrew Whitaker, President of International for WWE, said: “WWE is excited to announce SmackDown’s launch on Fox in Turkey. To partner with one of the fastest growing youth TV stations in the country will prove an excellent fit for WWE’s energetic and athletic SmackDown programming.”

Emre MumcuoÄŸlu, Director of Programme Acquisitions at Fox Turkey, added: “Fox Turkey is delighted to launch WWE in Turkey, one of the biggest entertainment shows in the world. We hope that it will receive the same success with the Turkish audience as it has worldwide.”

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
