Andrew ‘Test’ Martin was found dead in his apartment on Friday in Tampa, FL. He had most recently wrestled in Japan a few weeks ago. The Tampa Police Department is reporting that there are no indications of foul play, and an autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death. A neighbor called the police to his apartment when she noticed through a window that he was motionless for several hours. Police arrived at Post Harbour Apartments around 8:00 PM Friday night. He was scheduled to leave on March 16, one day before turning 34, for a wrestling tour in Europe, and according to his myspace page, Martin was “looking forward to this trip”.
Ric Flair will be acting as the honorary “Race Director” for NASCAR’s Spring All-Star Race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, NC, on May 16. Flair’s duties will include attending a drivers meeting, as well as serving as a judge on a panel for the pre-race Pennzoil Victory Challenge and assisting in introducing the drivers for the event. This exhibition race does not count in the Sprint Cup standings.
World Wrestling Entertainment’s SmackDown crew will be at the Ford Arena in Beaumont, TX, tonight.
