John Cena Works Match Without Selling TV Injury

John Turner sent along the following to WrestleZone.com:

I didn’t see anyone else mention this so I thought I would. At the end of the Smackdown/ECW/Superstars taping this past Tuesday in Pittsburgh, they had a dark match after the show. Originally advertised was the Triple H, Jeff Hardy and John Cena vs. Matt Hardy, Randy Orton and Edge match. This did not take place as expected it wouldn’t. The match was changed to Edge and Randy Orton vs. Batista and John Cena. I thought it was interesting that the change turned into a better match than what would have been.

The interesting thing here is that John Cena came out and wrestled, did his normal entrance, and sold no injuries. I read that he did the same thing the night before on RAW after being beaten down and said he wouldn’t be cleared to wrestle for two weeks. Me and some people around me thought this was absolutely ridiculous because it totally blew the storyline. The match ended with everyone hitting their finishing moves, Edge speared Batista, and then tried to spear Cena, but Cena grabbed him up for the ‘Attitude Adjuster’ for the win. Good match overall but if WWE should be more careful about selling injuries.
