8/15 Ultimate NWA results from the Scottsboro National Guard Armory located at
406 S. Cedar Hill Dr in Scottsboro, AL.
It looks like the action is about to begin when Will Owens storms to the ring and invites out Kayle Wooten from the NWA board of directors. Will says he has submitted tapes and proof that current Ultimate NWA Heavyweight Champion “Superstar” IS in fact Adam Roberts and Kayle is here to make an official ruling. “Superstar” ‘s music hits and a slimmed down “Superstar” complete with green jumpsuit, mask, and championship belt comes to the ring. Kayle tells him that he’s going to need to unmask. “Superstar” teases it but won’t do it. He begrudgingly does take the mask off and is revealed to be Adam Roberts’ cousin, Justin. Kayle and Will aren’t amused and Kayle asks that the real Adam Roberts come out. He does and Kayle tells him that unfortunately he is NOT eligible to be the Ultimate NWA Heavyweight Champion. Will is awarded the belt back, which he hugs like a lost child. Kayle begins to leave and Will demands that he make Adam Roberts leave the ring! The fans chant for Adam and Kayle says he won’t be bossed around by Will Owens. He says the fans obviously want Adam in Ultimate NWA and Will has done nothing but cheat, run away, and have interference in his matches. He said at the 8/29 show we will see Adam Roberts get one more chance for reinstatement and a final title shot in a match that will keep Will Owens from running or having anyone interfere…. For the first time in Ultimate NWA History, there will be a CAGE match between Will Owens and Adam Roberts!
1) Chris Ganz vs Chris Lightning
These two young men were both making their Ultimate NWA debut and they delivered an exciting fast-paced match that got the crowd going. They tied up to open the match and went back and forth trying to gain an advantage on the other. Ganz attempts a quick roll up on Lightning for two, Lightning attempts to copy Ganz’s pin up roll but Lightning outsmarts him and counters for another two count of his own. Lightning gets sent to the outside and as he recovers, Ganz hits him with a big crossbody over the top rope to the concrete floor outside. Ganz attempts to capitalize on Lightning with another high risk move inside the ring but Lightning is able to avoid it and goes on the attack, kicking, biting, and choking Ganz. Crowd is chanting for Ganz, as he rolls backwards kicking his legs up, and catching the head of Chris Lightning, flipping him over! Ganz comes off the top hitting Lightning with a huge front dropkick that proves enough to put him away.
Patrick Bentley makes his way to the ring in street clothes and says the reason he turned on Adam Jacobs at the last show is that he just couldn’t fake being nice anymore. He knows what it takes to make it to the top and nice guys like Adam Jacobs finish last. Corey Hollis comes to the ring and says he’s ready to prove himself in Ultimate NWA and that he wants to do it right here, right now with Bentley. Bentley laughs at him and tells him that since he isn’t wearing wrestling gear, that he will spare Hollis. Hollis insists that Bentley fight him and Bentley takes off his shirt and is going to give Hollis what he wants but then Adam Jacobs runs through the crowd and attacks Bentley. Several guys from the back are called out to help referees Jimbo Fisher and Chris Johnson pull them apart. They continue to break through the other people in the ring and get at each other several times before Bentley eventually bails. Jacobs and the others in the ring head to the back but Jeff Jameson runs in and sneak attacks Corey Hollis before he has a chance to leave the ring. The referee says make it a match and calls for the bell!
2) Jeff Jameson vs Corey Hollis
This impromptu match saw a lot of extremely fast-paced back and forth action. Jameson blocked a standing moonsault by Hollis by sticking up his knees. Jameson tries to get the better of Hollis but is taken down by a standing rana. Hollis and Jameson battle back and forth and Hollis attempts another rana take down but is powerbombed down hard by Jameson. Hollis fights back and each man attempts to get the better of the other until Hollis hits a legsweep roll on Jameson for the pin! Jameson is embarrassed to have lost as the fans cheer for Hollis.
3) Kaleb Kastle vs Jay Popular
Popular sneak attacks Kastle. Kastle hits Popular with a huge clothesline. Popular gives Kastle a cheap slap and is chased to the outside by Kastle. Popular runs and is able to hide and surprise Kastle with a big forearm/elbow to the face. Popular gets back in the ring and Kastle is able to sunset flip in over him. Popular holds onto the ropes until the ref kicks his hands. Kastle with a 2 count. Popular hits a huge shoulder tackle on Kastle and punishes him on the ropes with chokes. Kastle recovers to hit a giant belly to belly suplex on Popluar. Kastle, who weighs in at 235, climbs the ropes and hits a whisper in the wind on Popular! Kastle misses Popular in the corner. Popular chokes Kastle from behind and then hits him with two knees to the back. Popular hits a DDT. He goes up top but is thrown off by the recovering Kastle. Kastle hit a devastating DVD finisher on Popular for the win.
**Intermission** Adam Jacobs and Corey Hollis came out to interact with fans. Adam Roberts has a new T-Shirt for $15
4) “Wild Thing” Will Owens vs Antonio Garza for the Ultimate NWA Heavyweight Championship
Owens did his usual stalling as fans chanted “Chicken” and “Crybaby” at him. They eventually tie up Owens claims several times that Garza pulled his hair. Owens then pulls the hair of Garza to take him down but Garza kicks right back up and hits several impressive looking arm drags into arm bars. Garza hits a big lucha arm drag on Owens after running up the turnbuckle. Garza gains several two counts on Owens but Owens fights back and throws Garza into the turnbuckle posts. Owens uses the ropes for leverage on a submission until the ref catches him. Owens chokes Garza and really has him beaten down. Owens runs at Garza but they each meet the other with a clothesline. Garza battles back but Owens is able to put him on the top rope. Garza kicks him back and is able to hit a huge crossbody off the top! No way Owens is getting up from that… but Jeff Jameson runs out and tries to get in the ring. The ref stops him and Garza goes over to confront him. He nails Jameson with a big right but turns around to be hit by a chain in the head by Owens! 1…2…3…. Owens retains once again by interference. Fans are outraged but hadn’t seen anything compared to what was to come from Owens before the night would be over….
**2nd Intermission** It is announced that the main event will be a 6 man tag match
5) “Superstar”, Adam Jacobs, and Corey Hollis vs Will Owens, Patrick Bentley, and Jeff Jameson
Jacobs, Superstar, and Hollis are all in the ring as Owens, Bentley, and Jameson huddle together discussing a plan. They all act like they are going to get in the ring but only Jameson does. Hollis starts the match, getting the better of Jameson, tag to Superstar who back-body drops Jameson. Tag to Jacobs, who hits a running knee onto Jameson on the mat. Jameson gouges the eyes of Jacobs and tags to Will Owens. Jacobs tags in Superstar and Will Owens immediately tags Jameson back in. Superstar dropkicks Jameson off the apron into the guardrail. Owens throws Jameson back in. Superstar pulls Jameson up for a suplex and hangs him out to dry on the ropes. Tag to Jacobs, who meets Jameson with a huge running takedown. Jacobs hits a spinning heel kick and tags in to Hollis. Hollis hits Jameson with a big kick to the head. Jameson bites Hollis and tags out to Owens. Hollis charges Owens in the corner and is thrown back. Tag to Bentley who kills Hollis with a big clothesline. Tag back to Jameson who hits Hollis with some hard kicks. Jameson spits at Jacobs and Roberts and the referee has to restrain them. Owens, Bentley, and Jameson all beat on Hollis as the refs back is turned. Tag to Bentley, who hits a suplex and then chokes Hollis. Bentley cheapshots Jacobs on the apron. And Hollis is triple-teamed again. Owens is tagged in and delivers an enormous spinebuster to Hollis. Jameson is tagged back in. He splits the legs of Hollis and slaps his chest hard. Hollis tries to kick Jameson but it’s caught. Hollis tries to hit an enziguri but Jameson ducks it. Jameson misses with a moonsault but makes the tag to Bentley who attempts to finish off Hollis with a huge backbreaker from his shoulders but Hollis escapes and hits a crazy pele kick out of nowhere that had the whole crowd cheering. Jameson gets in and is taken out by a main event slam from Adam Roberts. Owens attacks Roberts from behind. Bentley recovers and hits his backbreaker finisher on Hollis, only to be immediately hit off the top rope by a facebuster from Adam Jacobs. Jacobs goes to the outside and asks fans for chairs. Jacobs fills the ring with them and Jameson and Owens take shelter under the ring. The ref calls for the bell and Bentley throws Jacobs off the top into a pile of chairs. Jameson and Bentley head to the back. Hollis and Jacobs are helped to the back, leaving Owens and Superstar in the ring.
Owens ruthlessly attacks Superstar, unmasking him to reveal Adam Roberts. Owens hits Roberts with chair shot after chair shot and says cheer for him now! He probably won’t even be able to make it to the cage match on 8/29!
