Thought id post the smackdown results for their live show in Belfast last night – Sunday 15th November 2009
1. Matt Hardy v Eric Escobar – crowd behind Hardy big time and some real heat for Escobar even though half the crowd werent sure of who he was.
Winner with a Twist of fate – Matt Hardy
2. Dolph Ziggler v R-Truth
DZ gets on the mic and talks rubbish for about 10 minutes to tease the crowd until K-Kwik… i mean R-Truth comes out and has a "crowd noise" type competition with him in which he hammers him. The match itself was quite good, Ziggler getting more heat than Truth gettin more positive reaction, Truth gets the pin with his spinning forearm smash clothesline.
3. Womens tag team match with Mickie James and Katie Lea Birchill v Beth Pheonix and Womens Champion Michelle McCool
Quite a short match with Mickie James getting the pin over womens champ McCool.
4. Drew McIntyre v Hometown boy FINLAY.
Drew comes out and talks trash about how Smackdown has wrestled in everyone but Scotland on their UK tour, and how Belfast doesnt deserve him etc etc, then Finlays music hits and he comes out to probably the biggest reaction of the night. Firm match with Finlay impressing with his brawler type attack. McIntyre gets the win with feet up on the ropes. He leaves the ring and Finlay gets a standing ovation from his home crowd.
5. John Morrison v Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinenal Championship
Next match is for the Intercontinenal Championship and probably the best night of the match. Some real high flying moves which the crowd was really into, back and forth quite a few near falls but Morrison gets the pin with the Starshoot Pain (pretty cool to see in person) Both men shake hands after the match and Morrison raises Rey’s hand.
