I would like to point out that I think, during this sad time, that Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson, along with many other pro wrestlers, has had to deal with the tragic and ultimately untimely death of Eddie Fatu. I wanted to post these emails that I have received acknowledging that Ken Anderson had the final privilege of working with the following deceased pro wrestlers:
Thanks to Carlos Peralta for sending this in: Don’t know if anyone has brought this up? Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson wrestled in both Eddie Guerrero’s and Umaga’s last match before they died. And both wrestlers were named Eddie. Kinda weird. Thought I’d pass that along…
Thanks to Kieron Swords for sending this in: Hi Nick, just wanted to give my thoughts on Ken ‘Mr Kennedy’ Anderson having wrestled what turned out to be the last match of another superstar. Eddie Fatu shared more than just the first name of Eddie Guerrero, both were from big wrestling families proud of their heritages and it’s unfortunate that Mr Kennedy find himself in that situation again.
I offer my condolences and hope the wrestling world can move on stronger from another early death.
The entire WrestleZone staff would like to offer their most sincere condolences to the family of Eddie Fatu, and if any of you readers have stories of "Umaga" that you would like to share, please email them in and we will surely post them in his honor.
