During the opening bout of the WWE: Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV event last night, ECW champion Christian was opened up by a ladder spot in his match with Shelton Benjamin and was bleeding. The match was put completely on hold as a trainer cleaned up the cut on Christian’s face for what seemed like an eternity. Once cleaned up the match resumed.
The clean-up was shown on camera and acknowledged by the announcers.
