Off-Air Notes From Raw Tonight: Crowd Reaction, TNA Ad, More

Thanks to Frank Pilolli for sending this in: I don’t know if this ran in all markets but there was an ad that ran in Chicago during the last hour of Monday Night Raw tonight promoting TNA Impact! on January 4 on Spike TV.  It featured Hulk Hogan and hyped the live show, as well as his return to pro wrestling.  Oddly enough it began in the middle of another commercial (for an Oreck vaccuum cleaner) and when it ended, the original commercial continued, almost as if it had been hijacked by the TNA ad.

Reader Alex Ginsberg noted that the arena in Corpus Christi tonight was packed, and that Orton was over huge as a heel and John Cena received the biggest baby face reaction of the night, with some mixed heat that was eventually turned more positive. He also noted that The Great Khali looked pretty banged up as he made his way up the entrance ramp after his tag team bout, and he was described as having to limp to the back.
