I just wanted to send a quick recap of Chris Jericho on George Lopez last night:
Show started with an interview with, of all people, David Arquette. George did the usual questions and lead into questions about him being WCW champ for 2 weeks. David started talking about it, and all of a sudden Jericho’s music hit. In true WWE fashion, Jericho came out saying that Arquette’s run as champion was a farce and he was there to erase it from the record books for good. This lead to a confrontation between the two. It looked as if it was going to get physical and David wanted to go to the back to get ready. After the commercial break, he comes back out and he’s dressed in what looks to be Macho Man’s old ring gear and holding a mock WCW World Title. Jericho then says, "You look like Puff the Magic Dragon puked all over you." George then says they have to compete….in a karaoke contest. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" starts playing and Jericho and Arquette trade off, with Jericho coming out on top and George presenting him with a boxing-style belt. To my knowledge, this is the first time Arquette and someone from WCW appeared together since Arquette’s time as "champ."
As far as Jericho’s actual interview, they covered topics like what got him interested in Pro Wrestling (his grandmother), his time in Mexico as "Corazon de Leon" (complete with a shot of his Topps trading card), being called "Corazon de Pollo" by the fans, a cup full of urine being thrown at him, losing his virginity to a Modelo Model, and of course Wrestlemania.
All together a funny and entertaining interview!
