I have learned that the WWE is currently in serious pursuit of finding a new home on American television for Superstars and NXT.
Superstars aired its last episode on WGN in the beginning of April and now airs online only in the U.S.. NXT aired first on SyFy and has since been moved online as well.
The WWE wants to move these shows back to television as they know research has shown people as a whole want to watch their favorite shows on television, not online.
Since moving to online, not surprisingly, the shows have declined in viewership. Specifically, NXT’s views online are significantly lower.
Nothing seems to be official about when and where the WWE will have these two show airing next on television, if they do at all. With WWE’s current T.V. programming already being underneath the NBC umbrella of channels, having Superstars or NXT join the NBC family wouldn’t be out of the question.
