Jacob Fatu arrived on WWE RAW carrying the weight of a difficult loss from Clash in Italy, but what followed inside the ring may have been even more significant than the Tribal Combat match itself.
One night after falling to Roman Reigns in Turin, Fatu finally came face-to-face with the Original Tribal Chief on RAW.
While the tension was obvious from the moment he entered the arena, fans were left wondering whether the Samoan Werewolf would honor the stipulation attached to his defeat.
Jacob Fatu keeps his word to Roman Reigns on WWE Raw
RAW opened with Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso making their way to the ring. However, one member of the family was noticeably absent. Jey quickly pointed out that Fatu was late for what he called his “first day on the job.”
Moments later, Fatu arrived and immediately found himself under pressure from both Reigns and Jey Uso. The atmosphere only intensified as chants for the “OTC” echoed throughout the arena.
Fatu admitted that he fully understood the consequences of Tribal Combat before stepping into the match at Clash in Italy. Reflecting on the loss, he said he knew what would happen if he failed to leave with the World Heavyweight Championship.
“I knew what I was getting myself into with Tribal Combat,” Fatu stated. He added that losing was nothing new to him and that life’s setbacks had brought him to this moment.
The former challenger also addressed his defeat directly, noting that his children watched him “be a man, take his loss, and keep his word.” However, he couldn’t resist taking one final jab, saying, “I didn’t lose to Jey’s punk ass.”
With the arena hanging on every word, Fatu ultimately got down on one knee and declared, “I acknowledge Roman,” officially recognizing Reigns as his Tribal Chief.
Reigns responded by helping Fatu back to his feet before telling him, “I love you.”
The segment ended with Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Fatu raising their fingers in the air together. In a twist few expected, The Bloodline appeared stronger than ever — proving that sometimes taking an L can still lead to being number one.
