Bryan Danielson Helping Nikki Bella Train for WWE Return From Injury

Nikki Bella is still recovering from the ankle injury that sidelined her from WrestleMania 42 earlier this year, but she already has Bryan Danielson by her side as she goes through recovery for a faster WWE return.

On the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie Bella talked about her current WWE return and revealed that Danielson has been helping coach and train her for matches. Brie said Danielson has been pushing her hard, and fans are starting to notice the difference.

Brie also shared that Danielson’s coaching style is very intense, but she loves it because it helps her improve every week.

“It’s fun because I feel like people are recognizing all of the training I’m doing. Bryan is my coach and I think they are all seeing the inspiration of Bryan. He’s incredible. He’s hard on me, which I need. I love it. He gives me hard feedback every week,” Brie said.

Hearing that, Nikki immediately said she wants Danielson coaching her too once she is cleared to wrestle again.

“I can’t wait to have Bryan as a coach on this comeback,” Nikki said.

Danielson has been training the Bella sisters for a few months now. They were training in their backyard during the time when Brie made her return at Royal Rumble 2026.

Nikki Bella has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury during a tag team match alongside her sister Brie against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. That forced WWE to remove her from WrestleMania 42 plans earlier this year.

Since then, Nikki has been updating fans on her recovery. Recently, she shared that rehab has entered a new stage focused on rebuilding strength throughout her body.

She revealed that she was finally able to squat again for the first time since the injury, which was a huge step forward. Nikki explained that the goal now is not just healing the ankle but also making sure the rest of her body is strong enough to properly support it before she returns.

Nikki also said she will be getting more X-rays in mid-June to check how well the bones have healed. Those results could determine when she can start preparing seriously for an in-ring comeback.
