This week on Monday Night Raw, 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena addressed the crowd in Glasgow, Scotland. He spoke about how he insulted a young fan the previous week on Raw. Cena also teased that he would bring back the Spinner Belt, a design that he called his greatest idea. However, he pointed out that he was endlessly ridiculed for it by fans back in the mid-2000s.
During his promo on WWE RAW, John Cena unveiled his plan to “ruin” pro wrestling for everyone at WrestleMania. One more thing that Cena assured he would do was make people forget the name ‘Ric Flair.’ He promised that people will forever remember the name John Cena after WrestleMania 41. One wrestling veteran found that particular statement very interesting. It was none other than WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray.
While speaking on the latest episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray shared that he found the fact that John Cena mentioned Ric Flair by name very interesting. He is curious why Cena did so.
“I found it interesting that he went out of his way to mention Ric Flair. Like, everybody knows. He could’ve just said 17-time World Champion. He didn’t have to mention Flair’s name, but he did. And I’m wondering why,” Bully Ray said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]
Recently, Ric Flair also spoke about the promo and he assured that he will be present at WrestleMania 41.
