CM Punk referenced an infamous part of his time in AEW on WWE RAW.
Punk came to the ring on the March 24th episode of WWE RAW and commented on the news that he would be facing both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 41. He discussed his feuds with both men. Punk noted that they both were getting in his way. He stated that the more things changed, the more they stayed the same, and he said, “I work with children.”

This was a clear reference to Punk’s infamous comments at the AEW All Out 2022 post-show media scrum, where he said that he was old, he was tired, and he worked with children. The comments came as part of a heated message in which he took shots at AEW EVPs Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.
Punk then got into a backstage altercation with Omega and the Young Bucks, and everyone involved was suspended. Punk did not return to AEW programming until June 2023. He was later released in September 2023 following another backstage incident with Jack Perry.
CM Punk is set to appear on the March 28th episode of WWE SmackDown. He will sign the contract for his match with Reigns and Rollins.
