An ECW legend will challenge for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship at NWA Crockett Cup.
At NWA Hard Times V on March 22nd, Thom Latimer successfully defended the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Carson Drake. Rhino made a surprise appearance after the match and confronted Latimer.
In a tweet, NWA confirmed that Rhino will challenge Latimer for the world title at NWA Crockett Cup on May 17. The event will be held at the 2300 Arena, formerly known as the ECW Arena.

Rhino previously held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship in 2005, when he was with TNA. He parted ways with TNA in December 2024. Rhino is a former ECW World Heavyweight Champion and WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion, among other accolades.
WWE star Natalya is also set to compete at NWA Crockett Cup, but her opponent has not been announced as of this writing. More information is available here.
