Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor event is set to be held in the near future.
On Ring of Honor’s official website, ROH Supercard of Honor is listed for Friday, May 2, and it is set to be held at Adrian Phillips Theater at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Reigning ROH champions Chris Jericho, Komander, Lee Moriarty, Sammy Guevara, Dustin Rhodes, and Athena are shown on the poster.
In recent years, the event has been held alongside WrestleMania weekend. The May 2nd date puts some space between WrestleMania weekend and ROH Supercard of Honor.
Supercard Of Honor in Las Vegas was in doubt early on
In January, WrestleZone reported that there were discussions about holding Supercard Of Honor in Las Vegas, continuing the annual tradition of hosting the event in the WrestleMania host city. A Las Vegas-based source informed WrestleZone that the event was originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 41 weekend, and AEW had a venue worked out.
AEW had been working with a venue near Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas that was picked for the event. However, AEW cancelled plans to use that venue and the reason for changing course was not shared.
The source stressed that Supercard Of Honor could still happen somewhere else and on a different date. However, the event would not happen in downtown Las Vegas in April.
Supercard of Honor typically occurs on the same weekend and in the same city as WrestleMania. However, there have been two exceptions; the 2010 and 2011 events took place in May.
