Booker T Says His WWE 2K25 Ratings Are Too Low, ‘That’s Way Off The Mark’

Booker T has some strong opinions over the ratings for his character in the WWE 2K25 video game.

Two versions of the WWE Hall of Famer appear in the game, which was released this month. Booker T’s standard character has a rating of 85 out of 99, a respectable ranking for a former World Heavyweight Champion.

However, his 2001 model has drawn some controversy. Booker T came into the WWE in 2001 after winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the last episode of Nitro. He was a five-time world champion and at the top of his game.

2K disagreed, as they only gave that version of his character a 77 rating. For comparison, this puts the five-time world champion as the same rating as Austin Theory, Brutus Creed, and Je’Von Evans.

Understandably, Booker T wasn’t happy. On the latest edition of his Hall Of Fame podcast with Brad Gilmore, Booker T explained his issue with the 2001 version of him’s ratings on the game. (H/T to Fightful for the transcription.)

“77, that’s way off the mark. Yeah, that’s way off the mark. Again, it’s whether they like you or not a lot of times. It can be personal, it’s a personal thing sometimes.” Booker T said.

After it was pointed out that The Sandman was rated 86, compared to Booker T’s 85 rating, he had more to say.

“You know what, it is [messed up]. It really is on so many levels. But, one thing about my character being 85, it can normally beat everyone on the roster [laughs].”

“I should’ve been no less than 90 in 01’. Again, I’ve been getting the short hand of the stick for quite a while with a lot of these people like that. They’re fanboying out, they vote for their favorite wrestlers.”
