Jon Moxley had to get a spiked bat pulled out of his back on AEW Dynamite.
At AEW Revolution, Jon Moxley defeated Cope to retain the AEW World Championship, but the match had a controversial conclusion. Christian Cage cashed in his world title shot and joined the match. Moxley wound up choking him out to win the match.
Jon Moxley then defended the title against Cope in a Street Fight on the March 19th episode of AEW Dynamite. Cope attacked Moxley backstage to kickstart the match, and they went on to brawl all over the arena. In one brutal highlight, Cope suplexes Moxley onto Spike, his spiked bat. Moxley yelled in pain as the spikes stuck into his back.

Wheeler Yuta ran in and interfered in the match. He tried to pull the bat out of Moxley’s back, but it was stuck. Moxley’s back was bleeding, and eventually they got the bat out of his back.

Moxley ultimately choked Cope out to win the match after Nick Wayne attacked “The Rated-R Superstar”. Claudi Castagnoli, FTR, Maina Shafir, Willow Nightingale, and Kip Sabian got involved in the bout as well.
Jon Moxley will now turn his attention toward AEW Dynasty. There, he will defend the AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland.
