Kenny Omega will defend the gold at AEW Dynasty.
At AEW Revolution, Kenny Omega defeated Konosuke Takeshita to win the AEW International Championship. Tony Khan then announced the AEW International Championship Eliminator Tournament to determine Omega’s challenger at AEW Dynasty. “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Ricochet, Orange Cassidy, and Mark Davis won first-round matches to advance to the finals.
On the March 19th episode, Bailey, Ricochet, Davis, and Cassidy clashed in a four-way match where the winner would face Omega at AEW Dynasty. All four competitors battled back and forth in a thrilling match. In the end, both Bailey and Ricochet pinned Davis. The referee ruled that both Ricochet and Bailey had pinned Davis. It was then announced that Bailey and Ricochet would challenge Omega for the title.

The broadcast team then confirmed that Omega would defend the title against Bailey and Ricochet at AEW Dynasty.
For Bailey, this major opportunity will come just weeks after he made his AEW debut on the March 12th episode of AEW Dynamite. Since his debut, Bailey has already made it clear that he wants to face Omega.
Updated Card For AEW Dynasty
On the March 19th episode of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley defeated Cope to retain the AEW World Championship. Swerve Strickland is set to challenge for the gold at the pay-per-view. The broadcast team announced that Moxley would officially defend the title against Strickland.
The updated card for AEW Dynasty is as follows:
- AEW International Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Ricochet
- AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Swerve Strickland
