Lex Luger has said that he wants Sting to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame. A new report provides an update about the possibility.
Lex Luger has been announced for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025. In recent weeks, he has stated that he’d like both Sting and Diamond Dallas Page to induct him. Page signed a WWE Legends contract in 2024, As a result, it’s fair to assume that his involvement wouldn’t be a problem. However, Sting is under contract to AEW.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that while it’s unclear whether Sting’s participation would require AEW’s approval, sources said that WWE was planning to “make overtures,”, if they hadn’t already, about making it happen. Per Sapp, Luger and those close to him informed WWE that Sting was the preferred choice.
Sting retired after his match at AEW Revolution 2024. He has been making appearances at conventions. “The Icon” is set to be at WrestleCon in Las Vegas the weekend of the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. Sapp writes that Sting was initially planned to be in Las Vegas for a limited schedule, but this has now “expanded.”
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
