Santino Marella believes WWE should have his daughter, NXT Superstar Arianna Grace, appear on SmackDown later this week.
TNA Wrestling‘s Director of Authority Santino Marella recently spoke with Maurizio Merluzzo. While discussing debuting for WWE in Italy, Marella proposed that his daughter Arianna Grace should appear on SmackDown this Friday when the company is in Bologna.
“It’s interesting because this was Vince’s idea because he wanted to do something to grow the popularity in Italy,” Santino Marella said. “Now, I know the popularity came down a little bit, but I think now it’s coming back up. So my daughter wrestles in NXT, and I believe this year, she’ll be called up. So I messaged her yesterday and said, ‘Hey, see if you can debut in Bologna.’ It would be historical. I don’t know if she is, but that would be amazing.” [H/T: Fightful]
Arianna Grace has appeared on multiple episodes of TNA iMPACT over the last several months. Grace’s official title is the liaison between WWE NXT and TNA. She has appeared on both NXT and TNA programming alongside her father Santino Marella in recent weeks.
