Jordynne Grace Pays Tribute To Patrick Star On NXT

Jordynne Grace evoked Patrick Star when she appeared on NXT last night.

After debuting as a full-time WWE Superstar at the Royal Rumble, Jordynne Grace moved down to NXT to kick off her career in the world’s biggest promotion.

She challenged NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer to a match this week but was attacked by Jaida Parker. However, it was her daring outfit which caught the eye of the fans and drew comparison to a famous cartoon character.

WWE posted a clip from NXT that showed Jordynne Grace in the parking lot before NXT. The former TNA Knockouts Champion answered her phone and walked away.

However, her outfit was reminiscent of Spongebob SquarePants character Patrick Star. Her black platform heels, fishnet fights and pink and green skirt and top combination perfectly mimicked Patrick Star’s outfit from The Spongebob Squarepants Movie.

The starfish dances around suggestively in the outfit during the song “I’m a Goofy Goober“. This occurred at the climax of the film. WWE even noticed the similarities. They Tweeted, “We see what you did there @JordynneGrace” with a clip of her walking into the arena.

Jordynne Grace Explains Why She Let Her TNA Contract Expire

Jordynne Grace opens up about her exit from TNA Wrestling.

Coming off a six-plus-year stint with TNA Wrestling, Jordynne Grace has reportedly inked a new deal that will officially bring her over to WWE.

Previous reports indicated the former Knockouts Champion amended her last TNA contract so that it would expire around the time of TNA Genesis on January 19, rather than later in the year. Grace has since confirmed this to be the case while appearing on Insight With Chris Van Vliet.

“When he left, I was very emotional when he left, like a lot of other people, because it was just so out of the blue,” Grace said in reference to former TNA President Scott D’Amore. “We found out on a Zoom call, it was very corporate, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But at the time, I was just like, You know what? I only really signed here because I had faith in Scott that he was gonna do good things for me and good things for the company. He’s the one that kind of set in motion the whole rebirth of TNA.

“I told them I wanted my contract to be cut, basically,” Grace continued. “So it was supposed to be until October of this year, and I was like I want to get out in January of this year. I mean, kudos to them. They heard me and they let me, so I’m very lucky for that. But I think probably I’d still be at TNA.”
