The hottest topic in professional wrestling right now is the shocking heel turn of John Cena. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam shared his thoughts on Cena’s change in character.
Rob Van Dam was a special guest on the Insight With Chris Van Vliet podcast. During the interview, RVD reflected on the time John Cena was booed at ECW One Night Stand 2006. He then shared that he believes that Cena will master the heel character.
“Yeah that’s true. I mean, he knew what to do that night perfectly. One Night Stand. And he’s really great at what he does. So, I think he’s going to really master the heel persona. And take it some places that we didn’t expect. And by the way, I mentioned this before, but I had seen him get booed. As long as You’re out there in the crowd and you’re expressing yourself, and you’re screaming. Then I know you’re having a good time. And that’s what it’s all about tonight.’ He turned them. All of a sudden they were cheering him. And I was like, ‘Wow! That’s why he gets paid the big bucks,'” RVD said.
