MVP claimed he’d love to slap a certain unnamed wrestling company executive, although we can assume who he really means
During an appearance on The F Y’all Podcast with C.T. Fletcher, MVP was asked who in wrestling history he would love to have slapped if he had the chance. MVP wouldn’t give a straight answer, saying it’s not the best thing to say “right now”. However, he said it would be one executive of a wrestling company.
“You know who I want to see? You know who I want to say? I just don’t know if it would be the best thing to say right now,” MVP explained.
“Let’s just say, in my professional career, I have only one regret. There’s one individual—an executive for a wrestling company—that I wish I had slapped the sh*t out of when I had the chance. But I never got the chance. And I’ll leave it at that.” MVP added.
Shelton Benjamin joked that Mia Yim would be his answer, continuing their long-standing social media feud.
Fans have speculated on who MVP is talking about, but it’s likely he means someone in WWE. He has been open about his issues with how Triple H booked the Hurt Business and Black talent, and recently shared how he got around issues working with Vince McMahon on commentary. It’s also possible he could mean someone else, but we’ll have to wait and see if MVP ever shares that person’s identity in the future.
MVP Reveals How He Got Around Vince McMahon’s Advice During Commentary
Recently, while speaking to Donnie DaSilva and Jimmy Korderas on Huge Pop! MVP revealed that Vince McMahon would often speak over trying to give the former WWE United States Champion some advice on what to say.
But very quickly MVP found a smart tactic to try and say something different before McMahon could provide his instructions. MVP claims to have done so because he was confident that whatever he was going to say would always be better than what McMahon wanted him to say.
“I figured out something real quick. Vince would make suggestions on what to say, and I figured out real quickly, what I would hear in my headset, the mic would key, I know Vince was about to make a suggestion. I would say something before he could speak because I know whatever I say is going to be way better than whatever he suggested.”
“I would hear the mic click like he was about to say something, and then I would say something, and I would hear the mic click out. That would happen all the time. I just knew he was going to say something and I would say something quick and witty and I would hear the mic key out. I guess he would go, ‘Okay, that was good,’” MVP said. [H/T Fightful.com]
