Mickie James is finally stepping back into the squared circle.
WrestleCon announced that James will face off with Japan’s Maki Itoh at the annual Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow on WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas. The event takes place at Palms Casino Resort on April 17, as part of the WrestleCon convention.
This is Mickie James’ first match since she competed alongside Shelly Benson to defeat Havok and Mila Moore at an Insane Wrestling Revolution in September 2024. This is also James’ first singles match in the United States since she challenged Trinity (Naomi) for the Knockouts title at Bound For Glory in October 2023.

Mickie James has mixed feelings about being a ‘Legend’
While speaking with Going Ringside, Mickie James remarked how weird it is for her to be called a legend. She finds it especially weird when she sits next to people like Bubba Ray and Booker T. James noted they were already legends when she broke into the WWE.
“It’s been really amazing to come out and come back for something that’s so unique. Obviously, the premiere of this show. First time ever with A&E. And then to be called still—it’s weird for me when they say ‘Legend’. I’m like, ‘Oh, it’s weird to me.’ Especially when I’m sitting alongside people who I’ve considered mentors and I look up to so much and admire. You know, Bubba Ray, Booker T, who’ve had tons of success in wrestling along with training other talents to go on and have their own success,” Mickie James said.
