A new report dismisses the speculation about Shinsuke Nakamura.
Over the past week-plus, rumors of Shinsuke Nakamura potentially leaving WWE started making the rounds. The speculation stemmed from a report, which was falsely attributed to Wade Keller of the PWTorch and suggested that Nakamura’s WWE United States Championship match had been moved up from WrestleMania 41.
In the latest Daily Update for F4WOnline.com, Dave Meltzer addressed the rumors and wrote that the stories of Shinsuke Nakamura leaving were untrue, as WWE sources confirmed it to be false. Meltzer reiterated that it was a fake story. He previously wrote that Nakamura was not being released, and he was still under contract.
Likewise, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that nobody in WWE had “heard anything” that would lend credibility to the rumors of Shinsuke Nakamura leaving WWE.
Nakamura had been absent from WWE television for a few months in 2024. He returned and targeted LA Knight. Nakamura beat Knight to win the WWE United States Championship at WWE Survivor Series. Knight defeated Nakamura to win the title back on the March 7th episode of WWE SmackDown. Nakamura has since wrestled on WWE’s European tour.
