The Undertaker Highlights A Major Problem He Sees With Young Wrestlers

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker discusses one of the problems he sees with modern wrestling.

The Undertaker is one of the most iconic performers in WWE history, and he was involved in many classic moments. Though he wasn’t renowned for his in-ring skills, his success was undeniable. Nowadays, a lot of wrestlers focus on the moves, and The Undertaker says this isn’t the key to success.

Speaking with Graham “GSM” Matthews for WrestleRant, The Undertaker explained the importance of making fans are. He noted that many young wrestlers relied too much on their athletic gifts.

“If you make them care, you’ve won, and that is the biggest thing,” Calaway said. “I think that’s one of the bigger problems we have. It’s getting better because we are getting some good storytellers now, but … a lot of these young wrestlers are relying so much on their athletic gifts that they’re not learning how to tell stories.”

“I mean, I had a pretty decent career with five moves. But I evoked emotion and made people care, one way or another. That’s how you become a legend.” (H/t Wrestling Inc. for the transcription)
