WWE SmackDown Viewership Decreases On 3/14, Demo Stays Level

WWE SmackDown saw a decrease in viewership on March 14.

According to Wrestlenomics (via Programming Insider), SmackDown averaged 1.571 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.52 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when an average of 1.741 million viewers tuned in. The demo is in line with last week’s show (0.52 rating in the same demographic).

SmackDown ranked #2 in the 18 to 49 demographic across cable and broadcast. The Duke vs. North Carolina college basketball game on ESPN ranked in the top spot (0.56 rating, 2.256 million viewers).

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a promo from LA Knight which was interrupted by Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Braun Strowman. This turned into a six-man tag.

Cody Rhodes was a guest on Miz TV, but before Miz could ask any questions his mouth got him in hot water, and he received a Cross Rhodes for his troubles.

Elsewhere on the show, Jade Cargill had a sitdown interview which set up a match between her and Liv Morgan on next week’s show.

In the main event of the evening, the Street Profits defeated DIY to win the WWE Tag Team Titles.
