Charlotte Flair Shares The ‘Craziest’ Thing She Did To Rehab Her Knee

Charlotte Flair is doing whatever she can to get back in the ring and stay healthy. That even means doing some “unusual” rehabilitation exercises.

Adam Glyn recently caught up with Charlotte Flair, who spoke about her exercise routine and return to the ring from injury. She noted she is probably training less now and letting her body recover more, which is helping put on more muscle compared to when she was younger. When asked if she is training five days a week, Charlotte said she’s doing four, but with more rehab sessions added in for her knee.

Charlotte Flair was then asked what the craziest thing she has tried to rehab her knee. The 14-time world champion revealed that she was doing “BFR,” or Blood Flow Restriction Training, which allows you to recover, build muscle and continue exercising at a lower intensity.

““BFR. The bloodflow restriction, it’s probably the hardest,” Flair said. “Where it calibrates your leg and it squeezes it so tight that it takes out the blood. So like your legs are turning purple and has no feeling, but it’s a way to train without the impact or the heavy lifting on your joints.”

Did it work?

“Yeah, I think so. I won the [2025 Women’s Royal] Rumble, didn’t I?” Charlotte said with a laugh.

Charlotte Flair suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus on the December 8, 2023 episode of SmackDown. She missed more than a year of ring time to recover from the injury. She made her in-ring return at the 2025 Royal Rumble. Flair will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 41.
