Brian Gewirtz Shoots Down Rumor About Team Name For The Rock And John Cena

The Rock and John Cena formed an unholy alliance at WWE Elimination Chamber. And while we don’t know what they’ll be called Brian Gewirtz has shut one rumor down.

Following John Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber, social media lit up with ideas as to what the duo’s name will be. Names ranging anywhere from The Break A Wish Foundation to the Two Man Hollywood Power Trip were among the most popular suggestions.

On the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio, it was reported that one idea for the name of the newly formed team is The Rock and Soul Connection.

However, this report was quickly shot down on social media by former WWE writer and The Rock’s right-hand man, Brian Gewirtz, tweeting out:

“Your sources are drunk,” Brian Gewirtz said in a post.

As of this writing, it’s unknown if WWE will even give Cena and The Rock a team name. John Cena is scheduled to appear this Monday on WWE RAW. This is Cena’s first appearance on WWE programming since the heel turn at Elimination Chamber. The Rock on the other hand is not currently advertised to appear.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on a potential name for this duo as it becomes available.
