Scott D’Amore has revealed why he visited the WWE Performance Center last year, and the answer may surprise you.
The Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling boss was reported to have visited the Performance Center late last year. The reason was unknown, with a potential collaboration between MLP and WWE suggested as the reason. However, the truth is much less exciting.
Speaking with Cultaholic, Scott D’Amore revealed why he visited the WWE Performance Center. The former TNA boss said that he just went to see how the training center was and see how it works. There was no special reason for his visit.
“I was down in Florida, I had looked at going to the Performance Center before I even went back to IMPACT in 2017 and never got a chance to make it when we were chatting then.” Scott D’Amore said.
“I was in the area. And I had the opportunity to go and have a look at the very best training complex that has ever existed in professional wrestling. I was happy and honoured to get a chance to take a look at that. To see how they do things there.”
“I don’t think that it’s something that needs to be read into too deep. Somebody in wrestling showed up at a place where they do something in wrestling and chatted with a few old friends and everybody went their separate ways.”
“I also went to a Jacksonville Jaguars game while I was down there. Nobody reported that…I get it, people want to speculate. Sometimes there’s just nothing more than what’s on the surface there,” said Scott D’Amore.
Anybody hoping for a collaboration between MLP and WWE may be disappointed.
