Dominik Mysterio and CM Punk have engaged in a brief war of words referencing a feud from their past on social media.
The two men shared the screen many years ago, when Dom was still a child. When CM Punk feuded with Rey Mysterio in 2010, he confronted the Mysterio family in the ring and sang happy birthday to Rey’s daughter, Aalyah, to get in his head. Punk wished Aalyah a happy birthday again this week, showing a screenshot of the original segment. Taking it a step further, Punk zoomed in on Dominik’s face and captioned the second photo with “Lil Bitch.”
Clearly showing his disdain for CM Punk remains, Mysterio replied by re-posting Punk’s photos and called him a “washed old f*ck.”

CM Punk’s first match back in WWE in 2023 was a house show match against Dominik Mysterio.
It appears WWE is going for a more streamlined approach for Superstar names, as Dominik got a slight name change. WWE is no longer referring to Mysterio as “Dirty” Dominik on its website. The nickname still might be used as a reference on the broadcast. However, it looks like it’s not an “official” name anymore.
The “Dirty” name was given to Dominik by Vince McMahon in 2022 during his feud with his father.
