Moose Reveals There Were Plans For Him To Feud With CM Punk In TNA

Moose almost had a feud with CM Punk in TNA before the former AEW Champion moved to the WWE in 2023.

During his turbulent run with AEW, CM Punk had numerous dream matches. He wrestled stars like MJF, Adam Page and Jon Moxley in some of the best moments in the company’s history.

However, he almost made the jump to TNA for some other dream matches.

On Twitter, Moose revealed there were plans for him to face CM Punk in TNA. This would likely have happened during his reign as world champion between October 2021 and April 2022, or his second reign which started in January 2024. Punk was with AEW from August 2021 through September 2023.

“So while I was World Champ there were plans of Punk coming to TNA and us feuding.” Moose said. “Punk vs Lesnar from SS2013 is one of my favorites matches ever. I was looking forward to recreating something just as awesome. But Obviously it never happened but who Knows. Shout out to @CMPunk GOAT,” added Moose.

Moose Praises Oba Femi, Teases Returning To WWE NXT

TNA star Moose teases that NXT fans haven’t seen the last of him.

At WWE NXT Roadblock, TNA X-Division Moose challenged NXT Champion Oba Femi for the gold, and Femi emerged victorious.

In a tweet, Moose reflected on the match and praised Oba Femi. He also teased potentially returning to NXT.

“Last night I attempted to make history at WWE NXT Roadblock but fell short. I will learn from my mistakes. Mad respect to [Oba Femi]. He is on a path to greatness. Happy to be part of his journey.

“Big thanks to the WWE NXT universe/staff/locker room for welcoming in. See you soon.” he added.
