Will Ospreay has set his sights on the AEW World Championship, and he plans to earn a shot by winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
On the March 12th episode of AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay came to the ring and discussed his brutal Steel Cage match against Kyle Fletcher at AEW Revolution. Ospreay noted that he had stitches, and his ribs were taped. He also recalled jumping off the top of the cage and noted that he saw everyone looking at him. Ospreay also joked about how he had “15 missed calls” from the missus.
He then made it clear that he wanted the world title. However, he said that he knew he’d have to wait to get his shot. Ospreay noted that Cope was getting a rematch, and Swerve Strickland would challenge for the title at AEW Dynasty. He stated that he wanted to call his shot, and he looked at the AEW All In: Texas banner to make it clear that he intended to challenge for the gold there. Ospreay went on to announce that he was entering the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. He vowed to go through everyone who stood in his way.
