WWE NXT runs through the soul of Tyler Breeze.
Currently, Tyler Breeze is signed to WWE as a part of the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel as well as various WWE x Fanatics livestreams. Behind-the-scenes, Breeze also recently came aboard as a writer for the WWE NXT brand, where he once reigned as an NXT Tag Team Champion. During a new interview with Monopoly Events, Breeze revealed which competitors he’d want to face in the ring from today’s landscape of NXT.
“Who would I put at the top of that list? Ethan Page. Ethan Page would be really fun,” Breeze said. “I think Trick [Williams] would be really fun. I’m trying to think of one you haven’t seen [me wrestle yet] yet. Ricky Starks has just joined, I just saw that. Starks, he was always kind of on that list where I missed him. He was always either in another company or whatever, but he’s definitely at the top of that list too 100%.”
Breeze’s in-ring run in WWE began in 2010, when he reported to their developmental territory of FCW (later rebranded as NXT). Breeze eventually ascended to WWE’s main roster in 2015 before returning to NXT at the end of 2018. In June 2021, WWE released Breeze and his tag team partner Fandango in a wave of budget cuts. Of course, Breeze has since returned to the WWE sphere, now contributing in a creative capacity.
“I’ve been such a part of NXT that you can’t help but always be a part of it in someway shape or form,” Breeze said. “Whether it’s coaching, whether it’s writing, whether it’s just helping out, giving advice, being around, being on the show. I don’t know if you saw or not, but Dango just was on there the other week. WWE is hitting on all cylinders right now. It’s hard to not be a part of it, so being a part of the stuff is cool. Having so many different avenues that you can explore and be a part of is fun as well.”
