Shawn Spears‘ stable received an official name at WWE NXT Roadblock.
Spears has formed a group with Brooks Jensen, Niko Vance, and Izzi Dame in recent months. On the March 4th episode of WWE NXT, Spears defeated Tony D’Angelo to win the NXT North American Championship. This marked his first title win since he returned to WWE.
In a video that aired at WWE NXT Roadblock, Brooks Jensen noted that Shawn Spears saw promise in him when he was at his lowest, and he was ready to take on the world. Niko Vance said that the group’s mission was to purge the weak, slaughter the feeble, and reshape the NXT society the way they saw it.
Izzi Dame said that The Culling was born, and they were united by survival. She noted that they wanted to reach the zenith of NXT. The trio brought up Shawn Spears winning the NXT North American Championship and called it a warning shot that signified the arrival of The Culling. Speas stated that they were not finished yet. He said that Dame, Vance, and Jensen would take The Family’s heart next week.
“The Culling” then appeared on-screen, confirming it was their name.

WWE announced that Vance, Jensen, and Dame would face Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Luca Luca Crusifino, and Adriana Rizzo of The Family on the March 18th episode of WWE NXT.
