Tessa Blanchard is looking forward to facing all of TNA’s stars but is excited for “new surprises” coming into the promotion.
The former TNA World Champion recently made her long-awaited and heavily criticised return to TNA. She has been met with boos and chants of “she’s a racist” from fans since returning, although that hasn’t dampened her spirits when it comes to her future in the company.
Tessa Blanchard spoke with Straight Talk Wrestling where she was asked about potentially appearing in NXT to fight Cora Jade. She said that she always thought her future would be in WWE but is excited to wrestle all of the top Knockouts wrestlers in the company today.
Additionally, Tessa Blanchard said that TNA have “new surprises coming in” which could provide some dream matches for all over the division.
Tessa Blanchard On New Surprises In TNA
“I’m telling you, who knows? I always thought that would be my path in my career, that would be my Camino. But right now, it feels like my story kind of paused in TNA Wrestling and IMPACT Wrestling. I’ve got to hit the resume button.”
“Mixing it up with some of the Knockouts right now is something incredibly special. You’ve got Knockouts like Masha Slamovich, and Heather by Elegance—who was Heather Reckless—who I’m personally a fan of. I would love to have a singles contest against her. We’ve got new surprises coming in. I’m confident in my abilities, but I’m even more excited about the possibilities of competing against these women.
“And who knows? I’ve been training the past year in Lucha Libre under Último Guerrero and Tony Salazar at Arena Mexico—training and training my hind end off. I would love to mix it up in maybe tag team action because that became my normal over there—those multi-women matches. So maybe that’s in my future. But as far as this crossover goes, I am completely focused on TNA Wrestling right now. That said, I will also seize any and every opportunity.”
