A listed segment on the March 7th episode of WWE SmackDown wound up not airing on the broadcast.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was set for an additional segment on the March 7th episode of WWE SmackDown. Per Sapp, Rhodes was listed for a backstage interaction with R-Truth on the show, but it didn’t wind up happening.
Sapp writes that, when sources were asked about it, he didn’t get a firm answer. However, it was speculated that the segment would have affected the gravity of Cody Rhodes’ promo about John Cena.
Many fans expected Rhodes and R-Truth to interact following John Cena’s heel turn. Truth and Rhodes had a backstage segment on the February 28th episode of SmackDown that played off of Truth being a fan of Cena.
Cody Rhodes To Appear On WWE RAW
Fans won’t have to wait too long to see Rhodes. WWE announced that he will appear live on the March 10th episode of WWE RAW, which will be at Madison Square Garden.
WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE RAW as it airs on March 10th.
