Rikishi Totally Understands What John Cena Is Going Through After Heel Turn

Rikishi understands what John Cena is going through.

John Cena’s heel turn at WWE Elimination Chamber shocked the world, and it instantly became one of the most unforgettable moments in recent history for fans.

On the latest episode of his Off The Top podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi shared his thoughts on John Cena’s heel turn. When asked to name some of the heel turns he noticed, he brought up his own. He noted that he understood what Cena was going through, as he too did it for The Rock.

“Yeah, I did it for The Rock, Rikishi said. “How about that? You asked me what’s my favorite. That there, I get it. I get it, what Cena is going through, man. I understand it. When you say you’re selling out, man, I did it for The Rock. I did it for The Rock. ‘I did it, I did it.’ That turn there, I thought it was iconic.”

John Cena’s actions at WWE Elimination Chamber recently ranked first on WWE’s all-time list of heel turns.

Rikishi’s Classic Heel Turn

Long before John Cena sold out to The Rock, Rikishi did the same thing. After “Stone Cold” Steve Austin was hit by a car on RAW in November 1999, Rikishi was eventually revealed as the driver. He infamously said that he “did it for The Rock.”
