Righteous Gemstones Stars Adam Devine and Tony Cavalero Hit Chokeslams At AEW Revolution

The Righteous Gemstones stars Adam Devine and Tony Cavalero got physical in the ring at AEW Revolution last night.

The pair are two of the main cast of the HBO comedy series. In order to promote the premiere of the show’s fourth and final season, they came to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and got involved with some top AEW stars in the ring.

During the AEW Revolution Zero Hour show before the event, Adam Devine and Tony Cavalero made their way into the ring. This happened after Orange Cassidy, Big Boom AJ and Mark Briscoe beat MxM Collection and Johnny TV in a fun match.

That match featured a number of non-wrestling stars. The Rizzler and Big Justice also got involved at ringside. However, it was the Righteous Gemstones stars who actually got into the ring and attacked the heels.

A clip posted to Twitter shows them attacking Mansoor after the match. Devine and Cavalero hit the former WWE star with a double chokeslam. They got a huge pop from the crowd in response.

The final season of The Righteous Gemstones premiered on HBO on Sunday night.

Did Tony Khan previously tease Devine’s AEW debut?

They flexed their muscles and posed like Hulk Hogan after the vicious slam. This was a big night for celebrity appearances. Stars like Leslie Jones and Ken Jeong were also spotted in the crowd, getting confronted by wrestlers throughout the night.

Devine and AEW owner Tony Khan linked up at the Super Bowl earlier this year. This led to speculation that fans might see him on AEW TV in the future. Devine is known for his work on Gemstones and Workaholics, and created a parody wrestling promotion called Front Yard Wrestling for an episode of the latter. The second episode of season five saw the Workaholics crew start a public access wrestling show to try and make overdue rent money.
