Swerve Strickland Provides Injury Update After Match At AEW Revolution

Swerve Strickland was a little banged up after AEW Revolution.

Strickland scored a big win at AEW Revolution, as he defeated Ricochet to earn a shot at the AEW World Championship. He also ended the night standing tall when he caught reigning AEW World Champion Jon Moxley by surprise after his match. Strickland jumped onto Moxley and hit him with the Swerve Stomp.

Swerve Strickland was the first speaker at the AEW Revolution post-show media scrum, and he opened his portion by saying that he had a ruptured ear drum. He noted that he could only hear out of his right ear, and he asked everyone to speak up. It doesn’t seem like a serious setback, as Strickland went on to discuss his plans to chase and win the world title again. Th

Swerve Strickland is aiming to become a two-time AEW World Champion. He became AEW’s first African-American World Champion when he beat Samoa Joe at AEW Dynasty 2024. Strickland held the gold until Bryan Danielson dethroned him at AEW All In.

There is currently no word on when Strickland will challenge for the title. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
