Has Carmelo Hayes learned his lesson when it comes to wrestling WWE’s Apex Predator, Randy Orton? Or will history repeat itself next Friday night on SmackDown?
Last night on SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes’ mouth got him into trouble with Randy Orton, leading to General Manager Nick Aldis signing a match between the two men for next week.
This isn’t the first time Orton and Hayes have gone one-on-one. The Viper picked up a win over Melo in their first singles encounter on the May 17, 2024 episode of SmackDown. But how much did the former NXT Champion learn in that matchup?
When a fan asked Carmelo Hayes last night on social media if he’ll be eating another RKO next week from The Viper, Hayes revealed his strategy going into next week’s match, tweeting out:
“No more springboards,” Hayes said in a post.
