Jake Roberts warned that his pet snake was frisky, but the stripper didn’t listen to his warning!
Damien is the pet snake that Jake “The Snake” Roberts took to the ring with him every night in WWE. (He later introduced a new snake named Lucifer after Damien was “crushed” in the ring by Earthquake). Damien infamously caused a bloody mess when biting “Macho Man” Randy Savage, so there was always a danger he could snap and turn at any moment.
Those were just storylines that played out in the squared circle (and the snakes were defanged). However, Jake’s snake once went on the attack in a real way at a strip club.
Jake Roberts spoke at a Q&A for Monopoly Events and was asked about a time when Damian got loose. The WWE Hall of Famer recalled a tale where he took the snake to a strip club and caught the eye of some dancers. She wanted to dance around with Damien, but the snake decided to bite her breast instead. Instead of helping, he just laughed and laughed.
“Uh, I made an appearance one night in a… an establishment that had dancing in it. They said it was a gentleman’s club—there was no gentleman in there. But, uh, one of the dancers decided she wanted to dance with Damien,” Roberts explained.
“I told her, ‘He’s not happy, he’s a little frisky right now.’ She told me, ‘I’m not afraid of that.’ So I gave it to her. And she’s dancing with it, and she’s going around the pole, and the snake leaned back and launched [at her] and connected with her breast.”
“So now she’s screaming, going around the pole, running in place, and I was laughing my ass off. She begged for it,” Jake Roberts added.
