MJF sends a message to “Hangman” Adam Page after he tried to set him on fire on the March 5th episode of AEW Dynamite.
On Wednesday night, MJF attacked Page and squashed his attempt to fight back with a low blow and a punch with the Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF then referenced how Page once set fire to Swerve Strickland’s house and pulled out some lighter fluid. He poured some of it on Page and took out a lighter, but he was restrained by security before he could use it.
In a tweet, MJF commented on the situation by saying that Page had nine lives, but it would be his last on Sunday, referring to their match at AEW Revolution.
MJF On His AEW Contract
MJF recently discussed his AEW contract status. Speaking on SI Media with Jimmy Traina, he was asked about the length of his deal.
“What I will tell you is, the amount of money that I get by the time it is over far surpasses $15 million,” he said. “I am making top guy money, whether it be an All Elite Wrestling contract or a WWE contract. I will say this, I am 28 years old. Every single top act in professional wrestling, besides me, is either in their late 30s, late 40s, or early 50s. So yeah, for the people who are panicked, ‘Oh my gosh, am I ever gonna get to see MJF outside of All Elite Wrestling? Am I ever gonna get to see MJF in this place, that place?’ Look, the reason I was paid top dollar is because I’m a generational talent.
“I won the bidding war. WWE didn’t win the bidding war, All Elite Wrestling didn’t win the bidding war. I won the bidding war. Because I’m making an absurd amount of money. By the time the contract is up, I will still be absurdly young, and then I will be able once again to make an absurd amount of money in the next bidding war.
“You know who’s going to win again? Me. Now, All Elite Wrestling is winning for the simple fact that they get to have me on their television show. I am, without a shadow of a doubt, week in and week out, the biggest ratings draw the company has. I have been one of the top merchandise sellers since the inception of said company, I have been a top guy in this company since the inception of said company.”
