Swerve Strickland went there; he took a shot at Ricochet by bringing up Samantha Irvin on AEW Dynamite.
Strickland and Ricochet came to the ring on the March 5th episode of AEW Dynamite to sign the contract for their match at AEW Revolution. They went back and forth on the microphone, as Ricochet vowed to earn a shot at the world title and Strickland said he would expose Ricochet as a coward and a fraud.
Strickland then sparked some buzz by saying that Ricochet would only be remembered for Swerve briefly reviving his career and “your ring announcer wife”, referring to Samantha Irvin.
Ricochet tried to attack Strickland with some scissors, but Strickland had it scouted, and he jabbed Ricochet with his own scissors, busting him open in the process.
