Ethan Page Gives His Honest Take On Ricky Saints Joining NXT

Ethan Page is happy to see Ricky Saints following in his footsteps after leaving AEW to join NXT.

Ricky Saints made his debut on NXT on February 11th after a prolonged spell on the bench in AEW. He joined the likes of former NXT Champion Ethan Page and Shawn Spears in leaving Tony Khan’s promotion to join NXT.

In his debut, Ricky Saints teamed with Je’Von Evans to beat Ethan Page and Wes Lee. This was a huge win for the former Ricky Starks as he kicked off his WWE career in style. Despite this loss, Ethan Page is glad to see Saints in an NXT ring.

Speaking with Miss T, Ethan Page explained that he’s happy to see Ricky Saints in NXT and hopes to see him follow in his footsteps once the former NXT Champion has moved on to the main roster.

“I’m a little preoccupied right now because I’m dealing with Je’Von,” Ethan Page said. “Last night, we were in Cincinnati. I don’t know when these videos come out, but I didn’t have the best night. It was me and Wes Lee in a losing effort against Ricky Saints in his debut and Je’Von Evans—my least favorite wrestler in WWE.

“I need to finish whatever I have going on with Je’Von so I can move on. Hopefully, I can either get back to winning the championship or head to the main roster and find my way to WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series.

“But yeah, I’m happy for Ricky Saints. As a friend, I told him when I walked out, ‘Hey, this is great.’ He’s following in my footsteps, and I hope he can fill the big shoes I’m leaving behind. We’ll see.”
